Umut Türklay

Umut Türklay is a Software Engineer at GBot Software Consultancy. He joined the company as an intern in February 2025 and transitioned into a full-time role in June 2025. Since joining, he has been actively involved in production-level projects, contributing to the development of real-world software systems from the ground up.

He holds a BSc in Software Engineering from Izmir University of Economics, where he met Asst. Prof. Gazihan Alankuş. He is currently pursuing his MSc in Software Engineering at the University of Europe for Applied Sciences in Berlin.

At GBot, Umut has played an active role in the Fyta project since its inception, contributing to its development and growth.

Recognition

His project Storia, developed in collaboration with Asst. Prof. Gazihan Alankuş, won first place in the Education, Entertainment, and Gaming category at the 2025 Genç Beyinler Yeni Fikirler exhibition, a national competition showcasing innovative projects from young minds in and around İzmir. Storia is currently being developed as a company product at GBot.
