Offline-first testing trusted in the field
Anvil Fire is a professional field application used by fire protection engineers during on-site fire pump testing, in an environment where accuracy, consistency, and regulatory compliance are non-negotiable.
Overview
Fire pump testing is governed by strict standards such as NFPA-20 and carried out in demanding physical conditions. Anvil Fire brings the entire testing workflow into a reliable digital system — capturing data, running compliant calculations, and producing consistent reports — that engineers can trust in the field.
The Challenge
Before Anvil Fire, engineers relied on manual calculations, handwritten notes, and after-the-fact reporting, which invited errors and delays. The product had to work where connectivity is unreliable or absent, produce calculations that are immediately trustworthy, and deliver reports that stay consistent across teams and projects.
What We Built
- A mobile application for on-site testing and compliant calculations.
- Offline-first workflows designed for real field conditions.
- Web dashboards for administrators and company users.
- Centralized reporting and data management.
Technical Highlights
- An offline-first architecture that captures data on site and synchronizes once connectivity returns.
- Standards-aware calculations performed automatically, so results are correct and consistent every time.
- A guided testing workflow that supports the engineer's process rather than interrupting it.
- Shared data feeding both the field app and the web dashboards.
Outcome & Impact
- Greater consistency across field tests.
- Fewer manual errors and less reporting overhead.
- Faster, more reliable compliance documentation.
